Spelling bee competitions stimulates students with a fun opportunity to foster interest in language. It is a consistent observation with concrete evidences that such competitions help learners strive well throughout their academic and professional lives.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>The literacy, cognitive and life skills they acquire during preparation have significance far beyond the scope of mere spelling ability, reaching into every aspect of life and communication. The Spelling Bee helps students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts, and develop correct English usage.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Owing to the efficacy of this healthy competition, Beaconhouse School System always provides ample room to hold Spelling Bee with enthusiasm and dedication.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>BSS NNP II organsied a branch based Spelling Bee competition for its grade 5 students.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Students prepared for the contest under supervision and guidance of teachers with the material aid arranged by them. All students were given equal opportunity and they contested to claim their spot in the final round.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Six students qualified for the final stage and were grouped into 3 teams to play the final stage comprising 3 rounds.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>1st Round:<\/b> 5 words were given to each team to spell correctly.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a02nd Round:<\/b> Each team picked 3 unseen words for sentence construction.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a03rd Round:<\/b> It was a buzzer round and teams competed against each other by\u00a0 \u00a0pressing the buzzer to spell out the correct word.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Students participated passionately\u00a0 in the last round and competed for the title of Spelling Champion. They were eager to hit the most buzzes in front of their fellows, parents, teachers and management. The audience felt their zeal and zest and cheered the contestants affectionately.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Winning team was awarded with certificates, Spelling Champion badges, and books as a gift whereas runner-up and second runner-up teams were awarded certificates and Spelling Champion badges.<\/span><\/p>\n
