History always fascinates the young minds. It intrigues them to dig deeper to find out more. By learning History, students develop understanding of diversity and cultures around the world. It also contributes in evolving the students’ ideas about being a world citizen and their role within the world.
Our ever so curious beaconites of Grade 6 researched about the Mauryan Dynasty which was led by Chandra Gupta Maurya after defeating Nanda Kings. They used digital means to explore multiple facts about that era using online search engines and compiled it in the form of a Graphic Organizer provided to them.
They also referred to their History textbook to cover all the aspects of this dynasty. Students explored about Gandhara Civilization and its art and sculpture and studied about the striking features of the Gandhara School of art which shows a very realistic and natural depiction of features in perfection.
Our ever so vigilant History teachers made sure to enrich the learning experience with lasting knowledge. Students cherished the moments at fullest as it was an amazing student centred class.
