Personal hygiene <\/strong>is\u00a0the way we care for our bodies. Personal hygiene is\u00a0how you care for your body<\/b>.\u00a0 This practice includes many activities, such as washing hands<\/strong>, brushing teeth<\/strong>, bathing <\/strong>and more. Every day, we come into contact with millions of outside germs and viruses. They can linger on our body, and in some cases, they may make us sick. Good personal hygiene will help them stay healthy. Well-kept hygiene will prevent illnesses and help build a child’s self-awareness.<\/p>\n

Proper handwashing <\/b>can help stop the spread of many illnesses. Handwashing is easy, inexpensive, effective, and can help prevent sick days and trips to the doctor!<\/p>\n

Taking a bath<\/strong> everyday can kill bacteria and improve immunity. It can relieve the symptoms of cold and flu.<\/p>\n

Oral hygiene<\/strong> is the practice of keeping your\u00a0mouth<\/a>\u00a0clean and disease-free. It involves brushing and flossing your teeth as well as visiting your dentist regularly for\u00a0dental X-rays<\/a>, exams and cleanings.<\/p>\n

Poor dental health impacts not just on the individual’s health but also their wellbeing and that of their family<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Today at BSS Askari X<\/strong>, students of Class 1<\/strong> enjoyed a very informative session about Personal Hygiene<\/strong> and Oral Hygiene<\/strong> by Dr. Adil and Dr Shanza Adil. They explained the concept and importance of personal and oral hygiene to our young students of Grade-1. They also enlightened them about several warning signs that could indicate oral health problems and the most common signs of poor oral hygiene, which include: Bleeding gums, Tooth decay, Chronic bad breath, Loose teeth, toothache and swelling of the gums.<\/p>\n

Students were overjoyed to see the doctors and listened very patiently to the information shared with them .They asked questions about dental and personal hygiene . The session was an extension of their English Reader Taking Care . The reader is all bout Personal and Dental Hygiene. Students were able to relate the information with their reader. They enjoyed the question Answer session at the end and were very excited to share their prior knowledge with the doctors. It was indeed an informative interactive Session .
