This wasn\u2019t just any math event.
This\u2026 was Mathemania, <\/strong>a full-blown, in-house, math-tastic face-off between our feisty little mathematicians from KG Yellow,<\/span> Indigo<\/span><\/strong>,<\/span> Red,<\/span> White,<\/span> Blue,<\/span><\/strong> and Orange!<\/span><\/strong> Each section came in armed with number knowledge, shape swagger, and the kind of math confidence that made calculators tremble.

\nRound One: Shape Detectives<\/span> \ud83d\udd3a\ud83d\udd35<\/strong>
\u201cIs that a circle or an oval?!\u201d<\/span><\/strong>
\u201cMa\u2019am, this triangle has attitude<\/em>.\u201d<\/span><\/strong>
From cubes to cones, squares to something that was definitely not<\/em> a square (but no one had the heart to say), our tiny detectives identified shapes like pros. One even declared, \u201cThis shape looks like my mum\u2019s purse\u201d, now that\u2019s<\/em> real-world application.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\nRound Two: What Time Is It, Anyway?<\/span> \u23f0<\/strong>
Children squinted at clock faces like they were ancient scrolls.<\/strong><\/span>
\u201cUmm… It\u2019s twelve o’clock!\u201d<\/strong><\/span>
\u201cIt\u2019s lunch time o\u2019clock!\u201d<\/strong><\/span>
Close enough. We saw a few wild guesses, some dramatic thinking poses, and one child confidently stating, \u201cIt\u2019s bedtime!\u201d (Nice try. Not falling for that one.)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\nRound Three: What Comes After Wednesday?<\/span> \ud83d\uddd3\ufe0f
A deceptively simple question.<\/span>
What followed was a moment of pure silence, deep thinking, and a mini existential crisis.<\/span>
\u201cThursday!\u201d<\/span>
\u201cNo, it\u2019s Ice Cream Day!\u201d<\/span>
Both answers are valid in our hearts.

\nRound Four: Number Bond Bonanza<\/span> \ud83e\udde0<\/strong>
Who knew number bonds could feel like a live-action game show?<\/span><\/strong>
\u201cFive and what makes ten?!\u201d<\/span><\/strong>
\u201cUhh… spaghetti!\u201d<\/span><\/strong>
(Incorrect but adorable. And we were also hungry by then.)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Forward, backward, hop-skip-and-jump, the number sequencing was intense.<\/span><\/span>

<\/span>Let\u2019s just say it was a learning journey<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Armed with fake coins and serious bargaining skills, our kids stormed the pretend<\/em> market.<\/span><\/strong>
\u201cI\u2019ll take three apples for two coins and throw in a free watermelon!\u201d<\/span><\/strong>
One child tried buying a carrot with a smile. Bold move.<\/span><\/strong>
Another tried returning imaginary milk because it \u201clooked suspicious.\u201d We admire the critical thinking.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In the end, it wasn\u2019t just about winning, it was about laughing, learning, and secretly wishing we could be that confident when answering, \u201cWhat comes after Wednesday?\u201d The competition was fierce, the math was loud, and the joy was off the charts. All sections did a phenomenal job, and we suspect some of them may now be plotting to take over the school shop. Until next year\u2019s Mathemania<\/strong>, keep counting, keep calculating, and always remember:<\/span>
