In the serene ambiance of our school morning assembly, a special gathering unfolded, dedicated to understanding the essence of Ramadan – a month filled with blessings and divine mercy. The assembly commenced with the recitation of Surah Falak, a chapter from the Holy Quran, beautifully rendered by our talented students of Grade 1-Orange. This soul-stirring recitation was followed by heartfelt translations in both Urdu and English, ensuring everyone present could grasp the profound meaning of the verses.
The young scholars of Grade 1 took the stage next, brimming with enthusiasm and knowledge, to enlighten their peers about the blessings of Ramadan. They delved into the concept of Zakat, emphasizing the importance of giving to those in need and spreading kindness and generosity. The students eloquently presented detailed information on the virtues of donations during this blessed month, highlighting the transformative impact of charity on individuals and communities alike. A highlight of the assembly was a small yet impactful role play performed by the Grade 1 students. Through this creative portrayal, they illustrated the spirit of compassion and empathy that Ramadan instills in all believers. Their portrayal resonated with everyone, showcasing the power of empathy and understanding.
As the assembly drew to a close, the air was filled with reverence and devotion as the melodious Naat “Maula Ya Salli Wa Sallim” echoed through the hall, a heartfelt tribute to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The culmination of this enlightening assembly was marked by a moment of interaction, as the children engaged the audience with a thought-provoking question: “When was the night of Quran’s revelation called?”
This engaging and informative assembly served as a reminder of the blessings and lessons embedded in the sacred month of Ramadan, encouraging all to embrace its spirit of compassion, reflection, and devotion.
