In a world often filled with noise and chaos, it is heartwarming to witness young minds coming together to celebrate peace. On this year’s Peace Day, on 22nd September, the Grade 1 students at our school organized an informative and engaging session that not only showcased their understanding of peace but also left a lasting impact on everyone who attended.

The students began their Peace Day celebration by discussing what peace means to them. In their own words, they shared beautiful insights, with some saying that peace means “no fighting” or “everyone being happy.” It was heartening to see how these young minds grasped the essence of peace so effortlessly.

To reinforce their commitment to peace, the Grade 1 students created colorful and catchy slogans that conveyed messages of harmony and unity. From “Peace Begins with Us” to “Spread Love, Not Hate,” these slogans were not only powerful but also displayed the creativity of our young learners.

Following the slogan-making activity, the students embarked on a peaceful walk around the school campus. Carrying banners with their slogans and wearing white T-shirts, they walked hand in hand, symbolizing their dedication to a world without conflict.

The highlight of the event was an informative session conducted by the students themselves. They prepared short presentations about famous peacemakers and sharing their contributions to the world. It was impressive to see how the students had researched and prepared their presentations, making them age-appropriate yet informative.

Music has a unique way of touching hearts and spreading messages of peace. The Grade 1 students chose two songs that resonated with the theme of the day:

The classic song reminded us of the beauty and wonder that exists in the world, emphasizing the need to preserve and protect it. Another powerful anthem that calls for unity and healing, this song was sung by the students with passion and sincerity.

The Peace Day celebration was a heartwarming display of their understanding and commitment to peace. Through their slogans, peaceful walk, informative session, and meaningful song choices, they not only celebrated Peace Day but also sent a powerful message to everyone present: that peace is something we can all work towards, regardless of our age. These young minds have shown us that peace begins with understanding, unity, and love. Keep it up Grade-1 !!!
