On 18th September 2023, the students of BSS Askari-X Grade-II yellow had an amazing assembly presentation on the second habit, “Begin with the End in Mind. With hearts full of enthusiasm and minds brimming with wisdom, they embarked on a remarkable journey to share a profound life lesson – “Begin with the End in Mind,” the second habit from Stephen Covey’s famous book, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.” The students didn’t just present a typical morning assembly; they created an experience that left everyone in awe.
The assembly began with a spiritual touch, underscoring the importance of setting intentions. Three young students recited and translate a surat from the Holy Quran, emphasizing the idea of starting with a clear purpose in mind. It was a serene beginning that set the tone for what was to come.
After the serene start, the students transitioned seamlessly into explaining the second habit: “Begin with the End in Mind.” They highlighted how this habit encourages people to envision their ultimate goals and aspirations before embarking on any journey. The simplicity and clarity with which these young minds explained the habit was both enlightening and heartwarming.
The highlight of the assembly was a meticulously prepared role play. The Grade 2 students acted out a real-life scenario that beautifully illustrated the essence of “Begin with the End in Mind.” The scene portrayed a group of friends planning a treehouse project. One student, playing the role of the visionary leader, reminded the group about the importance of knowing what the finished treehouse should look like before they began building.
The role play effectively conveyed that by having a clear vision of the end result, the team could work more efficiently and effectively towards their goal. It showcased how setting goals, planning, and envisioning success are all integral parts of this second habit.
To further engage the audience, the students performed on a lovely song.
The students concluded their assembly with a few inspirational quotes related to “Begin with the End in Mind.” These quotes, delivered with unwavering confidence, resonated deeply with everyone present and left a lasting impression.
The morning assembly on “Begin with the End in Mind” was more than just a presentation; it was a masterclass in teaching an essential life lesson. With a serene start, clear explanations, a captivating role play, interactive engagement, and inspiring quotes, these young minds left their peers and teachers inspired and reminded that setting clear intentions and goals is the key to success. As we watched these students, we were reminded that wisdom knows no age, and life lessons can be taught by even the youngest among us. This assembly was a testament to the power of education and the brilliance that resides within our future leaders. Keep it up !
