At Beaconhouse Askari X Kindergarten planned spectacular performances on the theme “Magic”. The big show was titled “Land of Magic”. It was a combined effort of students, teachers and parents. The mesmerizing show was hosted by Askari X branch in BCP Auditorium Gulberg. On 20th May,2022, Parents were invited to witness the star studded performances of their talented children. What a magical day it was. All the future stars gathered in the auditorium to showcase their emerging talents.
The show was hosted by Miss Amna Azhar. Our honorable guests were Mrs Fariha Najam, senior head mistress from Cantt campus branch and Ms Amna Khalid, Principal BCP branch.
The performances were divided in five segments to keep the audience mesmerized in the magical land. The show started with the welcome song by all the beautiful fairies from Kg-Orange and KG-Blue. The presentation was led by Miss Subrina Nazir. The fairies dressed up in pink beautiful dresses along with their magic wands. The performance was an energy booster for all the audience.
Next up was English play “Ginnie in the Bottle”. A story about a family who accidentally bring a ginnie in their home and children exploit ginnie’s magic for their own good and in the end how they learned a lesson. The play was directed by Miss Faiza Shoaib, narrated and choreographed by Miss Meera Ahmer Butt. The moral of the story was nothing in the world can replace the love, bond and respect a family shares. No power on earth is greater than the power of family. The play was beautifully ended with a power pack performance on the magic song. A wonderful show put forward by Kg –Red and Teachers.
In line was the magical performance of all the boys from KG-Blue and KG-Orange. Dressed in black with sun shades on, this blazing performance shook the audience. ― Garret Weyr, The Language of Spells
The alluring performances were an added gem to this crown. The next presentation was the urdu play directed and narrated by Miss Mehjabeen Mubashar, assisted by Miss Naqsh Qazi and choreographed by Miss Meera Ahmer Butt. The play titled “jaadooi aaiinaa” a script that showed how powerful magic can be. A dramatic presentation of Mughal era with beautiful characters of the king Shahjahan and princess. What an impression this act left on the hearts of the audience. From the perfect script to the perfect costumes everything was on point. The background score made the performance the show stopper of the event. Furthermore the dialogue delivery of the characters was beguiling.
The event came to an end with the last and the show stopper performance of the day “Hope”
Hope of the sunshine in the gloomy night, Hope for the goodness to take over the bad, hope of rays of light in blackness of fate, hope of good magic to take over evil magic… The theme behind this act was that the world is full of evilness and hatred. so let’s not allow evilness and hatred control our lives. Our life should not be under any control. It should be looking for HOPE.
The act was directed by Miss Subrina Nazir. The music credits for the entire event goes to Sir Aneel and Sir Samuel along with Sir Ali for the backgrounds effects.
However the show was incomplete without appreciating the hard work put forth by teachers, support staff and administration. It was impossible to achieve the tremendous round of applause by appreciating students and parents too. It was a collaborative effort of everyone involved.
Hats off to Team Askari X for always coming forward and bringing astounding performances.
