Morning Assemblies provide students opportunities to build interest in extra curricular activities, develop core values, learning social discipline, building stage confidence and polish their public speaking skills. Students dress up neatly in full school uniform.

Assemblies always have been fun and learning at BSS Askari X. In the spirit of fostering essential life skills, our Grade 2 students organized a morning assembly in the beginning of the month of September, centered around the first habit of highly effective people. This special assembly aimed to instill values that will guide our young learners toward a bright and successful future. The assembly began with the recitation and translation of verses from the Holy Quran.

The focal point of this assembly was the exploration of the first habit of highly effective people, as inspired by Stephen R. Covey’s renowned book, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.” The students explained that the first habit is all about being proactive. They emphasized that being proactive means taking control of our actions, decisions, and responses to life’s challenges.

The young presenters shared examples of being proactive in daily life, such as solving problems, setting goals, and taking responsibility for their actions. They encouraged their fellow students to develop this habit by making choices that lead to positive outcomes and being responsible for their own growth and happiness.

As the assembly drew to a close, our Grade 2 students brought joy to the hearts of their peers with an inspiring song performance. The song’s lyrics celebrated the theme of proactivity, encouraging everyone to take charge of their lives and make a positive difference in the world.

The Grade 2 morning assembly on the first habit of highly effective people left a lasting impression on our school community. It served as a reminder that, even at a young age, we have the power to be proactive and shape our own destinies. By taking responsibility for our choices and actions, we can pave the way for a successful and fulfilling life.

As we continue our educational journey, let us all remember the valuable lessons shared during this assembly. Let us strive to be proactive in our pursuit of knowledge, personal growth, and kindness toward others. In doing so, we empower ourselves to become highly effective individuals who positively impact our school, our community, and the world at large.
