Defence Day holds a special place in Pakistan’s history as a day to remember the courage and resilience of the country’s defenders. Celebrated nationwide on September 6, it marks the commemoration of Pakistan’s successful defense against India in the 1965 war. At Beaconhouse Askari-X, Defence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect, honoring our heroes and instilling patriotic pride among students.
The event organized by the dedicated teachers of Grade-I and Grade-II, created a vibrant display of patriotism. The students, parents and staff dressed in national attire, adding to the spirited atmosphere. To engage students actively, teachers organized an array of exciting activities, including singing patriotic songs, reciting the national anthem, and presenting heartfelt tributes to our national heroes.
A highlight of the celebration was an informative and interactive talk show, where students shared stories and significant events from September 6, 1965. The younger students were particularly enthusiastic as they role played notable figures such as Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed, capturing his bravery and sacrifice. Through these performances, the students conveyed their appreciation for the courage of the armed forces and martyrs, while embracing the values of unity and resilience.
Throughout the day, students also participated in informative quizzes and presented short segments on the esteemed recipients of the Nishan-e-Haider. These activities not only informed but also instilled a sense of pride, identity, and freedom among the young participants. Singing sessions were filled with joy as students chimed in with their favorite patriotic songs, reflecting their love for the country.
