Dino Day (Theme reader “little Rex”)

The KGs have been introduced to the reader “Little Rex”. Therefore, Dino Day was celebrated to make the children more involved and attentive towards their reader.  Beaconhouse celebrated Dino Day with enthusiasm and zeal on 24th November.

Following the theme, the children came dressed in green and brown clothes. Some of them brought their stuffed toys and others brought books. They also brought eatables for the after party.

The day started with the movie “The Good Dinosaur,” a journey of a little dinosaur who makes a mark for himself at the end. The children loved and enjoyed watching the movie with their classmates.

The whole day was planned meticulously by the Askari X team. Different corners were set up outdoor with several engaging activities.  A reading corner with different dinosaur books was set up where the teacher read the reader “Little Rex” to the young minds. The interest of the children could be seen as they participated actively.

Next, children were seen busy in the “Dino Dig” corner where they had to dig for the dinosaur remains in the sand. Baked bones of dinosaur made out of clay were hidden in the sand which the children thoroughly enjoyed hunting.

Dino in Me” was the photo booth where the children posed as dinosaurs.

Dino Dance was also led by the music teacher where the children grooved to the beats of the dinosaur “roaring and stumping” around.

Moreover, two more corners were set up where the children drew the shadows of dinosaurs and also joined the dots to make their own dinosaurs. They had alot of fun in “Dino Silhouette

The children had brought their eatables and ate them outside rejoicing their own little picnic. The fun-filled day came to an end with joy. The activity was a huge success and it was titled as “Dino Munchies” the children went home with their happy faces.
