“The more you know about the past, the better you are prepared for the future”. The strong nations have strong history of national language and heroes . Poetry of Iqbal holds the most essential place in the diversity of Urdu language .His poetry has a great spell on the people of all ages and cultures.
Iqbal Day honors and remembers Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, a revolutionary poet and philosopher who suggested the idea of a separate state for Muslims in the subcontinent. Dr.Allama Muhammad Iqbal was also a great inspiration for the Pakistan Movement. He was the man who dreamt of a separate nation where Muslims could live peacefully, prosper, and ultimately enjoy practicing their religion – with total freedom.
He was the person who brought a prevailing change among the Muslims of subcontinent through his poetry and literary work. Iqbal day is organized and celebrated on 9 November every year around the world as a tribute to Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the “Poet of the East”.
On November 10th 2022, the students of BSS Askari-X Grade-II pink had an amazing presentation of Iqbal Day at Mall of Lahore. The program began with the recitation of Holy Quran done by Bakhtyar Hammad, Parishay Shahzad and Hadiya Usman. Students enthusiastically shared information on the quotes of Iqbal’s in a pleasant manner which reminded them of re awakening of the muslims. Additionally, few of the students performed a Role play and rest of the students spoke about Quaid e Azam’s contributions and guidance towards the nation. The closing of the assembly was marked with a melodious qawalee.
Adan Ali ended up the event by a thankyou note. It was an excellent yet informative assembly.
On November 11th 2022, the students of Primary years at BSS Askari-X Campus performed another wonderful assembly in order to pay tribute to the “Poet of the East “,Dr Allama Iqbal. Students were dressed in a national attire. The assembly began with the recitation of Holy Quran with translation followed by interesting information related to Allama Iqbal, a beautiful poem and Tablo prepared by the students of Grade-II.
The students of Grade-II white were veiled as famous poets and shared their melodious poetry and tablo in a pleasant manner which reminded them the efforts and struggle of the national heroes and their role in achieving this motherland. Students of Grade-II Blue enthusiastically presented qawalee and mushaira.
The day was well regarded, as for its association with the true legend who has envisioned the ideology of Pakistan. Students presented small speeches on Allama Iqbal and recited his poetry. The day recalled the history and refresh the essence of literature, unfolds the sacrifice, highlighted efforts of Muslim Hero , whose wisdom and ideology, is what led the Muslims of the subcontinent to a point of unity.
Iqbal has achieved so much in his life, not only for himself but more selflessly for a nation. He was a motivator, a philosopher, a leader, a legendary poet and a man of great ideas and values. The nation salutes him for his divine efforts and believes. We inculcate the respect and regard for our national poet in our students.
