Eid Milad-un-Nabi is an annual celebration to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad and is observed in the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. It is considered an important day for Muslims all across the world as it is a reminder of the kindness, compassion and teachings of the Holy Prophet. The festival is observed by many Muslims from the Sufi or the Barelvi school of thought.

The Qur’anic verses proves that to celebrate Milad is not only a proper deed but it is also a praiseworthy. One of the most important parts of Eid Milad-un-Nabi is to celebrate the life of the Prophet, his teachings, sufferings, and his character, as he even forgave his enemies. Muslims celebrate the occasion by wearing new clothes, offering prayers, and exchanging gifts.

Teaching about religion since birth is pivotal in laying the foundation of character building of a child.  Religion helps in creating an ethical framework for children. It also supports in building values like love, empathy, respect, and harmony.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ was celebrated on Tuesday, 25th October at Beaconhouse Askari-X with full zeal and zest. The auspicious event was being hosted with great enthusiasm. The stage was creatively decorated and adorned by our brilliant Art Teachers.

Students of Grade-II along with their mothers were invited to experience the sacred event. The celebrations began with the recitation of Hamd O Naat presented by teachers and mothers in their melodious voice which were highly appreciated by the audience. Various naats were being recited by all the students to express their reverence and devotion to the last messenger whose entire life is beacon of guidance for the mankind. Students of Grade II-Yellow presented the Shajra e nasb of the Holy Prophet PBUH. Students of II-White presented a role play on the teachings of our Holy Prophet PBUH. Students of II-Orange shed light on Akhlaq e hasna and Mojzaat e Rasool of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Students of II-Pink shed light on the history and importance of the Cave of Hira. Students of II-Blue presented an information about the Last Sermon of our beloved Prophet (PBUH).

Mothers greatly appreciated the event and shared that the experience was soul enriching and satiating. Senior Mistress of the school along with the teachers also recited some heart touching Hamd-o-Naat.

The closing of the Milad was marked with beautifully recited dua and distribution of sweets among staff members and students.
The event was a great source of inspiration and value for students to focus their minds and bring awareness about the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet P.B.U.H. It was well received and appreciated by all.
