Rather than simply talking about mindfulness, she invited our teachers to experience it. Through hands-on activities, real-life scenarios and gentle guidance, she showed how mindfulness can be woven seamlessly into everyday classroom routines.

Why Mindfulness Matters in Early Years

The Early Years are a time of rapid social, emotional and cognitive growth. Ms. Amina highlighted how a few moments of mindfulness each day can help young learners:

Find calm during busy transitions

Stay focused during learning activities

Build empathy and emotional understanding

Feel safe, valued, and connected in their classroom community.

Learning by Doing

The session wasn’t a one-way talk, it was interactive and lively. Teachers practiced breathing techniques, grounding exercises and mindful listening, imagining how each could be introduced during story time, group activities or even free play. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, curiosity and those wonderful “lightbulb moments” when ideas click.

Leaving Refreshed & Ready

By the end, the room felt lighter, not just because of the calm energy but because our teachers left with practical tools they could immediately use. They were not just learning to teach mindfulness; they were becoming mindful educators themselves.

As one participant shared,

> “This session reminded me that before we can teach children to be calm, we must first embrace that calm within ourselves.”

With guidance from Ms. Amina Ejaz, our Early Years teachers are now better prepared to create classrooms where calm, focus, and joy grow together, nurturing mindful minds that will carry these skills for life.

*Nurturing Mindful Minds: Early Years Teachers Take the Lead * Our Early Years teachers recently took part in a transformative… Continue reading *Nurturing Mindful Minds: Early Years Teachers Take the Lead *

[1

post-544","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized","entry
["GET
