Strengthening Skills, Building Champions: Our PE Team’s Learning Journey
“Excellence is not a skill, it’s an attitude.” – Ralph Marston
At Beaconhouse, the spirit of sportsmanship extends beyond the playing field, it thrives in our classrooms and professional-development journeys. Recently, our Physical Education department had the privilege of participating in a Strength & Conditioning Training Programme hosted by the Pakistan Rugby Union. The workshop, led by Mr. Shakeel Ahmed, Development and T&E Head, and Mr. Jahahir, Clinical Coach, was attended by our very own Sir Lavison Ameen Khushi, Sir Asim Ghafoor, Ms. Sidra and Sir Azam Patras.
The training focused on athlete conditioning, safe exercise techniques, injury prevention and effective training strategies, equipping our teachers with the latest approaches to nurture student athletes. With hands-on sessions and expert guidance, our educators explored ways to enhance strength, endurance, and overall fitness, ensuring students not only excel in sports but also adopt lifelong healthy habits.
What makes this journey truly inspiring is the dedication of our teachers—their willingness to embrace challenges, learn new techniques and continuously refine their skills mirrors the same commitment we encourage in our students. They embody the values of resilience, perseverance and a growth mindset, which are at the heart of both sports and learning.
This professional development is more than a workshop; it’s a testament to our PE team’s passion for excellence and the Beaconhouse commitment to empowering teachers who inspire future champions. Every session attended, every new strategy learned, and every technique mastered brings us one step closer to shaping confident, capable, and motivated students.
At Beaconhouse, we celebrate growth, learning, and the relentless pursuit of excellence—values that shape not just athletes, but well-rounded individuals ready to take on any challenge, on or off the field.
