Strengthening Campus Safety: Beaconhouse Crisis Response Team in Action

Today’s Crisis Response Team (CRT) session at Beaconhouse School System was led by Maj. Sarmad, Security In-Charge for Rawalpindi. The session was a powerful reminder of how crucial preparedness is in ensuring the safety of our students, staff and school community. The session emphasized building awareness, enhancing safety protocols and equipping staff with the knowledge to respond effectively in times of crisis.

Schools, like any other institution, can face a range of unexpected emergencies, from natural disasters such as earthquakes and fires, to human-related crisis like political unrest, terrorist threats, or even bombings. In such moments, quick thinking, calm action and well-coordinated teamwork can make all the difference. That is why Beaconhouse has established a comprehensive Crisis Response Team system, with specialized groups trained for specific tasks.

Our CRT is made up of seven dedicated teams, each with its own roles and responsibilities:

🔥 Firefighting Team – trained to control and contain fires before they spread.

🚪 Evacuation Team – ensuring students and staff are guided safely out of the building.

📢 Communication Team – relaying accurate information quickly to staff, students, parents and emergency services.

🛡 Security Team – managing access, preventing intrusions, and maintaining order.

🩹 First Aid Team – providing immediate medical care until professional help arrives.

🚌 Transport Team – ensuring safe and organized transportation in case of relocation.

🛠 Damage Control Team – assessing and minimizing damage to the school environment.

Together, these teams form a safety net for the entire school community, ensuring that no matter the crisis, there is a clear plan and trained individuals ready to act.

At Beaconhouse, we strongly believe that safety is the foundation of learning. By investing in regular trainings and building strong response mechanisms, we create not just a secure campus, but also a supportive environment where students feel protected and valued.

Because at Beaconhouse, the safety of our students always comes first and we have an entire system in place to ensure that every need is met, every risk is prepared for and every child is cared for.
