Learning to Save Lives: Dr. Aleem Raza Hussain Leads Hands-On CPR Training at BCLR 💓
At Beaconhouse Civil Lines Campus, we believe in empowering our students with knowledge and skills that extend beyond the classroom — lessons that can make a real difference in the world.
We were honoured to host Dr. Aleem Raza Hussain, a distinguished General Practitioner from the United Kingdom, who conducted an interactive and highly informative session on Basic Life Support (BLS) for our middle school students.
Dr. Hussain began by explaining the fundamentals of emergency response, including how to assess a situation, check for breathing and responsiveness, call for help, and provide life-saving CPR. His calm, clear, and engaging approach made the complex topic easy for students to grasp.
What made the session truly remarkable was its hands-on component — Dr. Hussain brought along CPR mannequins, allowing students to practice chest compressions and rescue procedures themselves. Under his expert guidance, they learned how to position their hands correctly, apply the right pressure, and maintain rhythm while performing CPR. The demonstration also included the recovery position, helping students understand how to keep an unconscious person safe until medical help arrives.
The workshop was not just an educational experience but an empowering one, instilling in students the confidence and readiness to respond effectively in emergencies. It was a step toward creating a generation that is aware, compassionate, and prepared to help others in times of need.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Aleem Raza Hussain for his time, expertise, and dedication to teaching these vital life-saving skills. His session left an indelible impact — reminding us all that even young hands can save lives when guided by knowledge and courage. 💫
