From Trash to Treasure: BCLR’s Blooming Sunflower Craft!
At BCLR, creativity knows no bounds! Our Kindergarten students recently embarked on a fun and imaginative journey by making sunflowers using discarded tissue rolls. This hands-on activity not only allowed them to explore their artistic side but also taught them the importance of recycling and sustainability in a fun way.
With bright yellow paint and tiny hands at work, the students carefully transformed simple tissue rolls into beautiful sunflower prints. Each petal was cut, shaped, and dipped in paint before being pressed onto paper, creating a stunning sunflower effect. The children were thrilled to see their art come to life, and their excitement was evident in every stroke of paint!
Beyond just an art activity, this experience helped enhance their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity. It also sparked a meaningful discussion about nature, growth, and the beauty of sunflowers, which always turn towards the light, just like our young learners, who are always eager to grow and explore new ideas.
At BCLR, we foster creativity, innovation, and a love for learning in every child. This sunflower-making activity was a perfect example of how simple materials can turn into a work of art, making learning both engaging and meaningful!
