Empowering Educators, Inspiring Learners: Math Refresher 2025

Mathematics is often seen as a subject of numbers and formulas but in reality, it’s the language of logic, curiosity and discovery. To reignite this passion, our Early Years and Lower Primary teachers recently participated in a Math Refresher Training Workshop, conducted by our Lower Primary SL, Ms. Tayyaba Waris.

The aim?
To revisit effective strategies, explore hands-on activities and breathe fresh life into classroom teaching so that every learner experiences math as an adventure rather than a challenge.

The workshop brought forward:
🔹 Innovative approaches to problem-solving
🔹 Interactive games and activities that spark curiosity
🔹 Creative strategies to build mathematical confidence in young learners

What made the session truly impactful was the interactive learning environment. Teachers didn’t just listen, they engaged, experimented and reflected on ways to transform routine math lessons into joyful explorations.

💡 One key takeaway echoed by many teachers was:

> “When math is taught through discovery, children stop fearing it and start owning it.”

As our teachers walked away with refreshed skills and renewed enthusiasm, one thing was clear, math is not just about solving problems, it’s about nurturing thinkers, explorers and innovators of tomorrow.

With workshops like these, we continue our commitment to making learning meaningful, exciting and lifelong.
