Transforming Teaching, Transforming Math Learning
At Beaconhouse, professional growth is no always a priority and Mathematics is no exception!
On 4th September, our teachers had the privilege of learning from Mr. Josh Lury, an experienced trainer from the UK, in a session organized by Hodder Education. Later, on 11th September, this invaluable training was cascaded to our Grade 3–5 teachers, ensuring that the knowledge and strategies reached classrooms where they matter most.
The session was not just about numbers and formulas, it was about rethinking how Math is taught and learned. Teachers explored fresh methodologies, hands-on strategies and innovative approaches designed to make Mathematics more engaging, meaningful and student-friendly.
From tackling problem-solving with creative techniques to discovering ways of connecting abstract concepts with real-life applications, the training empowered teachers to inspire curiosity and confidence in their learners.
By sharing ideas, collaborating and experimenting with new methods, our educators are now better equipped to create interactive and effective Math lessons that spark both understanding and enjoyment in the classroom.
