🌟 Leadership in Action – LIM Training Highlights 🌟

“How can we inspire leadership in our students if we don’t model it ourselves?” — this powerful question set the tone for our recent LIM Adult Leadership Training with our new LIM coach, Sir Sher Afghan.

The session reminded us that leadership begins within. By practicing the 7 Habits in our own lives, whether it’s writing a personal mission statement (Habit 2), prioritizing what matters most (Habit 3), or building trust through the Emotional Bank Account—we become living examples for our learners.

Key discussions focused on:
✔ Big Rocks – following lesson plans, integrating habits across subjects, displaying leadership roles and creating supportive social-emotional spaces.
✔ Deltas – turning growth areas into opportunities, giving students leadership roles, encouraging reflection and using positive language daily.

Innovative practices like the Pause Bench and Leadership Portfolios added depth to the training, highlighting the importance of emotional regulation, self-reflection and accountability. Teachers were encouraged to select just one habit and one practice to model consistently throughout the year—small but powerful steps toward lasting change.

The introduction of the 4 Disciplines of Execution (4DX) framework gave us a roadmap to stay focused on goals, track progress and celebrate accountability.

The day concluded on a hopeful and uplifting note, with teachers motivated to empower learners, embrace new practices and strengthen a culture where leadership and learning go hand in hand.

With consistent modelling and collective effort, we are ready to turn deltas into pluses and inspire a new wave of student leaders.
