Meaningful inclusion begins with empowered educators who understand, support and believe in the potential of every learner. Over four intensive days, 15 SEN Resource Teachers from different branches across the North Region came together for a valuable professional learning experience led by our SEN Program Manager, Dr. Sajeela.
The training focused on strengthening teachers’ understanding and practice in key areas of Special Educational Needs and Inclusion. Teachers explored IEP development, with a focus on setting meaningful SEN goals and working towards them effectively. They also received hands-on training in VABS, including its administration, scoring, and interpretation, along with practical classroom behaviour management strategies to better support their students.
Beyond the knowledge and skills gained, the training provided a wonderful opportunity for teachers to learn, collaborate, reflect, and share professional insights. Experiences like these strengthen teacher capacity and help create more responsive, supportive, and inclusive learning environments for every child. 🌱
