🌱🔬 Exploring Osmosis & Plasmolysis at BCLR 🔬🌱
Learning comes alive when theory steps out of the textbook and into the laboratory! Our Grade IXCR Biology students recently embarked on an engaging hands-on investigation into one of the most fascinating cellular processes — osmosis and plasmolysis.
With onion peel cells under the microscope, students carefully added a salt solution and witnessed the magic of science unfold before their eyes: the cells gradually lost water, shrinking and revealing the process of plasmolysis in real time. It wasn’t just an experiment — it was discovery in motion.
📝 Students went beyond observation by recording their findings, sketching detailed diagrams, and discussing results collaboratively. This not only sharpened their scientific skills but also nurtured teamwork, critical thinking, and analytical reasoning.
💡 At BCLR, we proudly embrace the philosophy of “Learning by Doing.” Activities like these ignite curiosity, inspire questions, and allow learners to connect classroom concepts to real-world phenomena. Our young scientists left the lab not only with knowledge but with excitement, wonder, and a deeper appreciation of how life works at the cellular level.
✨ From microscopes to mindsets, we’re shaping future thinkers — one experiment at a time.
