Learning by doing provides the learner with instant feedback and the ability to reflect on what to keep doing, what to tweak and repeat, or what to change altogether.Mathematics is seen by many as hard, boring or both. But evidence suggests that a love of maths is no barrier to fun and humour , our little Beaconites proved this by learning the concept of money through buying and selling activity .

This is a game that practises vocabulary, basic mathematic skills i.e addition /subtraction and speaking skills in the context of buying and selling. It is a great revision activity for little Beaconiutes.Basically the students use vocabulary items, or standard sentences, as money. The student is a shopkeeper, the other students are the customers. The students buy objects that they like to eat . In order to buy the object they need, they have to produce the words which are the’ price of the item”,sale items , price tags , change ,percentage off etc.
