Learning by doing provides the learner with instant feedback and the ability to reflect on what to keep doing, what to tweak and repeat, or what to change altogether.Mathematics is seen by many as hard, boring or both. But evidence suggests that a love of maths is no barrier to fun and humour , our little Beaconites proved this by learning the concept of money through buying and selling activity .

Students and mothers of grade 1 enthusiastically participated in ‘Buying and selling activity’ held at BSS Early Years Campus Sargodha. The concept behind it is to facilitate the learners to practically incorporate the concept of subtraction and addition with exchange money. Side by side they learnt many social skills i.e. dealing with their elder fellows, attracting the buyers by offering off on prices and convincing them by telling qualities of their items. Learners magnificently exhibited their lavish edible stalls which were properly packed with mesmerizing attires and captivated the buyers from the Beaconhouse College Programme Sargodha. It was fun filled activity both cherished by parents and learners.
We are heartily thankful to College Campus Head Muhammad Usman, his faculty and students for honouring us with their active participation in buying and appriciating efforts of our little munchkins.

This is a game that practises vocabulary, basic mathematic skills i.e addition /subtraction and speaking skills in the context of buying and selling. It is a great revision activity for little Beaconiutes.Basically the students use vocabulary items, or standard sentences, as money. The student  is a shopkeeper, the other students are the customers. The students buy objects that they like to eat . In order to buy the object they need, they have to produce the words which are the’ price of the item”,sale items , price tags , change ,percentage off etc.
