At BSS 17-G Urdu week took place from 8th – 12th November 2021. Students involved themselves in various extra-curricular activities during the week. One category was mimes and tableaus. Teachers took the opportunity to engage and teach students about various poems by our national poet Allama Iqbal .He wrote several poems for children in his book Bang-e-dra . Students presented thought-provoking mimes on his famous poems such as ‘aik makra or makhi’ , ‘aik gaye or bakri’, ‘hamdardi and ‘bachy ki dua’ . The poems teach us about moral values and correct way of living.
Performing onstage nurtured confidence and creativity, among students as well as enhancing social skills, facial expression and body language .The participants and audience enjoyed the stimulating sessions thoroughly. The colourful backdrops, costumes, props and poems left everyone inspired and filled with love and respect for Urdu literature and poetry.
