Urdu language is an integral part of our day-to-day speech. At BSS Model Town Junior Campus, Urdu teachers are always looking for ways to engage students attention and enhance their understanding ,through interactive activities .
In Kindergarten the Urdu reader ‘Shair ki shadi’ was introduced to the students, which lead to a very special and fun-filled day for them. The day was set with shimmery décor , fancy dresses, delicious snacks and festive music. Kindergarteners and the teachers took part in various festivities and played musical instruments such as tambourine, shakers and drum. The girls displayed their traditional fancy dresses ,bangles, mehndi and enjoyed luddi in groups. Where as the boys upon musical beat did bhangra. Later they all enjoyed story -telling session and a role-play followed by lunch consisted of assorted party food and sweets.
In Class 1 , the Urdu reader ‘Bhaloo ki saalgira’ was introduced ,thus leading to grand birthday-themed outdoor activities . 1st Graders dressed in party clothes , brought their own teddy bears and party food for the day .Teachers set up the stage with balloons, buntings, presents and a birthday cake . Students sang birthday songs, made colourful birthday cards, played party-games , danced to the music and engaged in interactive story-telling session. The fun-filled day concluded with lunch having a variety of party-food and birthday cake .
