School trips give students a break from daily classes while providing students with practical memories and experiences of the real world. School trips also deepen the students understanding of different topics. For this purpose Beaconhouse Model Town Junior Campus organized a school trip to The Zoo(early years Pre Nsy-KG) and The Lahore Museum and Model Town Park (lower primary Class I-II)
Trip to The Zoo
Early Years(Pre Nsy-KG) visited the Lahore Zoo, here the saw animals in real time and learned about there features and characteristics. The trip enabled the students to learn in a fun way rather than being bound to classroom learning as seeing and learning about animals in real time will help them better relate to the topic in the classroom. The students enjoyed the trip and sat down together to have a small picnic surrounded by animals.
Trip to The Lahore Museum & Model Town Park
Lower Primary(Class I-II) visited the Lahore Museum, here they learned about their own early history, culture and traditions. They learned about one of the earliest civilizations Mohenjo-daro and the Mughal Empire, they not only learned about their own history but they also learned about British Colonial, Buddhist, Sikh, Hindu and Jain histories. The students were greatly fascinated by artifacts, statues, weapons, clothes etc.
After the visit to the museum, the students were taken to Model Town Park for a picnic and recreation. They enjoyed eating together and playing many different games with there class fellows and teachers.
The day ended on a happy, if not tiring note with all students excited about their trip and eager to share there learning s of the day.
