The ability to read is one of the most vital skills in life. Children are encouraged to read because reading enhances knowledge, vocabulary, cognitive skills, stimulates ones imagination etc.

Beaconhouse Model Town Junior Campus organised a reading competition from classes Nursery to II. The competition consisted of a selection round in which a reading passage was read by each section from each level(Nursery to II). Two students from each section were selected for the next round.

In the next round each student had to read a passage, the ones who scored the highest based on the criteria were selected for the final round.

In the final round four students competed with each other to achieve 1st, 2nd and 3rd Position from each level.

Nursery

From Nursery 1st Position was awarded to M.Hussain and Maryam Umair, 2nd Position was awarded to Bushra Zahra and Abdul Hadi and 3rd Position was awarded to Ilma Saqib and Ayan Zaheer.

KG

From KG 1st Position was awarded to Ifra Usman Siddiqui, 2nd Position was awarded to Samuel Dawn and 3rd Position was awarded to Abis Raza .

Class I

From class I 1st Position was awarded to Sha Aleen, 2nd Position was awarded to Muhammad Jahangir and 3rd Position was awarded to Umme Abeeha Salman and Muhammad Ahmed.

 

Class II

From class II 1st Position was awarded to Musa Rashid, 2nd Position was awarded to Mustafa Muqaddas and 3rd Position was awarded to Essa Ali.

This competition encouraged the students of Beaconhouse Model Town Junior to furnish their reading skills so that they may also get a chance to compete and display their skills in front of their peers.
