Teachers Day
The students of Beaconhouse MTJC celebrated Teachers Day by paying tribute to the teachers in many different ways.
The students made cards, dedicated a performance for to their teachers, welcomed them to school early in the morning and gave them small tokens of love to show their appreciation for everything that the teachers do for them.
Global Handwashing Day
Beaconhouse MTJC organised a demonstration on Global Handwashing Day to impart the importance of handwashing with soap and water as it is one of the most important steps a person can take to prevent the spread of diseases.
The students were taught the proper way to wash their hands through a demonstration and a fun handwashing race was organised in which students were required to:
Step 1 turn on a tap
Step 2 wash their hands for 20 seconds
Step 3 turn of the tap
Step 4 dry their hands with tissues
Step 5 throw the used tissue in the dustbin
The students immensely enjoyed the race and promised to be more vigilant in washing their hands.
Global Dignity Day
Beaconhouse MTJC celebrated Global Dignity Day by first explaining to the students the meaning of the word dignity.
The students were taught that everyone is equal no matter their colour cast or creed.
Many different activities for organised on this day such as giving small tokens to the custodian staff, making a handprint banner by the whole school to show that everyone is still equal and should be treated with respect no matter who they are.
