Pre-Nursery-Alphabet P:
The students of pre nursery learned about the alphabet P. They learned its formation and associated the pineapple with it. By associating pineapple with the alphabet P, they learned about pineapples.
Nursery-Sense of Smell:
The sense of smell is a very important sense especially for humans and animals. It helps them find food, recognise family members, and avoid danger. Nursery class learned about the sense of smell through an activity in which they were presented with different scents which they had to classify as pleasant/unpleasant. This activity enabled them to be differentiate between pleasant/unpleasant scents. They learned that unpleasant scents mean that something is bad or harmful for them .
Class I-Procedure Writing:
In English the students of class one learned about procedure writing. The topic of the week was Sandwich Making. To enable the students to be able to effectively recall and write the steps required in procedure writing, an activity was carried out in which each student made a sandwich, noted down points and then wrote the whole process as required.
Class II-Seed Germination
Seed germination is a fundamental process by which different plant species grow from a single seed into a plant. To help the students of class II understand the topic better an activity was conducted in which the students planted seeds in a jar between two layers of damp cotton. The students watered the seeds in their jar everyday and observed the process of seed germination.
