Earth Day is an annual global event that occurs on April 22. It is celebrated all around the world raise awareness about pollution, global warming, climate crisis, deforestation etc. Beaconhouse Model Town Junior Campus celebrated Earth Day by setting up segregated trash cans throughout the campus, all the new trash cans have captions such as paper, glass, plastic and metal, this initiative was taken to incorporate the process of recycling in school.
The students were made aware of the actions that cause different types of pollution, such as littering, burning things, cutting down trees etc.
The students of Beaconhouse Model Town Junior Campus were given the task of collecting litter from different places and sorting it into the assigned trash cans.
At the end of the day the students vowed not to pollute their Earth and take steps to help reduce pollution and make the Earth healthy again.
