Beaconhouse Model Town Junior Campus celebrated Iqbal Day on 10th November, 2022 with a lot of enthusiasm.
The day started off with an assembly held in honor of Allama Iqbal. It consisted of speeches, poetry recitations and a tableau. Early Years honored Allama Iqbal by writing and giving speeches about him. Some students also beautifully recited verses from his famous poems.
Lower Primary paid tribute to Allama Iqbal by performing a tableau on one of his most famous compositions “Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua”.The students doned different costumes to enact different aspects mentioned in the poem.
Some students represented diya’s to highlight the verse “Har jagha mere chamakne se ujala ho jaye”.
Another verse “Ilm ki shamma se ho mujh ko mohabbat ya rabb” was portrayed by a teacher providing students with books a day teaching them.
“Ho mera kaam gharibon ki himayat karna” was represented by giving alms to the poor and “Dardmando se za’eefon se mohabbat karna” was portrayed by doctors helping injured and ill people.
The students of early years and lower primary worked very hard on their tributes to Allama Iqbal and presented an excellent assembly.
