Learning how to recognize and name these feelings helps us understand ourselves better and communicate with others in a positive way.

The first step in recognizing feelings is to notice what’s happening inside our bodies and minds. For example, when we’re happy, we might smile, laugh, or feel light and energetic. When we’re sad, we might feel like crying, become quiet, or feel heavy in our chest. Anger can make our face feel hot, our heart beat faster, and our fists clench. Fear might make our stomach hurt or our body shake. These body clues help us identify what we’re feeling.

Once we recognize how we feel, it’s important to name the emotion. We can use simple words like happy, sad, angry, scared, or excited. As we grow, we can learn more specific words like frustrated, worried, proud, or disappointed. Naming our feelings gives us power—it helps us manage them instead of letting them control us.

Talking about our emotions with someone we trust, like a parent, teacher, or friend, is another helpful way to understand them. We can also draw or write about how we feel. For example, drawing a stormy sky for anger or a bright sun for happiness can help express emotions that are hard to say in words.

Recognizing and naming feelings helps us stay calm, make good choices, and build stronger relationships. So next time you feel something big, pause and ask yourself, “What am I feeling right now?” Naming it is the first step to feeling better.

Understanding our feelings is an important part of growing up and living a happy, balanced life.Every day, we experience many… Continue reading Recognizing and Naming Our Feelings by Eshal Tauqir-Grade 4A

[2

post-1770","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-young-learner","entry
["GET
