But our teacher reminded us that it\u2019s okay to say \u201cNo\u201d and to speak up when we don\u2019t feel comfortable.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"528\" data-end=\"787\">We learned that saying \u201cNo\u201d helps us stay safe and confident. It doesn\u2019t mean we are being rude \u2014 it means we are taking care of ourselves. We also practiced saying \u201cI don\u2019t feel okay\u201d when something bothers us, so adults can understand and help us.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"789\" data-end=\"823\">Here are a few things we can do:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"824\" data-end=\"997\">\n<li data-start=\"824\" data-end=\"872\">\n<p data-start=\"826\" data-end=\"872\">Say \u201cNo, thank you\u201d firmly but politely.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"873\" data-end=\"919\">\n<p data-start=\"875\" data-end=\"919\">Walk away from situations that feel wrong.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"920\" data-end=\"997\">\n<p data-start=\"922\" data-end=\"997\">Talk to a trusted adult, like a parent or teacher, if we feel unsafe.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1127\">We realized that our feelings are important and our voice matters.
