One day I went to the school library to return my book. The library was empty, and the sunlight made the shelves glow softly. As I placed my book back, I heard a tiny whisper, “Psst… over here!”
I looked around, and to my surprise, one of the books had eyes on its cover! It blinked and said, “I’m the Book of Secrets. I only talk to students who truly love reading.” I couldn’t believe it!
The book opened by itself, showing shining golden words: “Knowledge is magic, and readers are the keepers of light.” Then it closed and went still again.
The next day, I told my librarian, but she just smiled and said, “Only true readers find the library’s secret.” From that day on, I visit the library every week—hoping to hear the whisper again.
