Summer’s Bittersweet Bliss ☀️

The sun shines bright, the days are long,
Summer’s joy is here, but something’s wrong.
I miss the halls, where laughter echoes free,
The classrooms buzzing, with friends and glee.

I miss the teachers, who guided me with care,
The lessons learned, the memories we’d share.
The library’s quiet, where stories come alive,
The playground’s energy, where friendships thrive.

Though summer’s warmth, brings freedom and delight,
I yearn for school, where learning takes flight.
The routine’s structure, the social scene,
The sense of belonging, that’s hard to glean.

But summer’s break, is a time to unwind,
To recharge and dream, and leave the books behind.
Perhaps in autumn, I’ll return with cheer,
And find my love, for school, reappear.

Until then, I’ll hold on to memories dear,
Of friendships forged, and lessons learned this year.
For though I’m missing school, I’m not alone,
Summer’s magic, will soon make me feel at home.
