My best friend, Ahmed, is always cheerful and ready to help everyone. One day, I noticed he looked sad during recess and didn’t want to play. I asked him what was wrong, but he just smiled and said, “It’s nothing.”
Later that day, I found out from our teacher that Ahmed’s father was very sick, and that’s why he seemed upset. I felt sorry for him and wanted to do something nice. So, I made a small card that said, “You are strong, and I’m always here for you.”
The next morning, I gave him the card. He smiled, and for the first time that week, he laughed again. He told me, “That’s my secret — I was sad, but your friendship made me feel better.”
That day I learned that real friendship isn’t just about having fun — it’s about caring, understanding, and standing by each other through everything.
