I used to feel very scared whenever I had to speak in front of my class. My hands would shake, my heart would beat fast, and I would forget what I wanted to say. One day, my teacher told me that I could do it if I just practiced a little every day.
So, I started standing in front of the mirror and saying my lines loudly. My parents listened to me and clapped every time I finished. Slowly, I began to feel more confident.
When the day of the school assembly came, I took a deep breath and remembered my teacher’s advice: “Smile and speak slowly.” I did just that — and everyone clapped for me!
That was the day I learned that practice and courage can help us overcome any fear. Now, I actually enjoy speaking in front of others!
