Our teacher taught us about starting to understand how people grow and change from being young to old. When we are little, we need our parents to help us with many things, like eating, dressing, and going to school. As we grow older, we learn to do more things on our own, like tying our shoes, doing homework, and helping others.
But when people become old, their needs change again. Older people may need help walking, remembering things, or using technology. They may also feel lonely and enjoy when someone spends time with them.
Our teacher also taught us why we should help older people. Helping them shows kindness, respect, and gratitude. We can help by offering a seat, listening to their stories, carrying their bags, or just smiling and talking to them. Even small acts of kindness make them feel happy.
We learned that growing and changing is part of life, and helping others, especially our elders, makes the world a better place for everyone.
