Pakistan’s Defence Day- Muskaan Jameel – 5A

Pakistan’s Defence Day is celebrated every year on 6th September with great respect and pride. This day is very important in the history of Pakistan because it reminds us of the courage, unity, and sacrifices of our armed forces and people.
In 1965, India attacked Pakistan in the dark of night, hoping to capture our land. But the brave soldiers of Pakistan fought fearlessly and protected the country. They did not care about their own lives and stood strong like a wall against the enemy. Many soldiers sacrificed their lives for the safety of Pakistan, and because of their bravery, our nation remained free and strong. That is why 6th September is called Defence Day.
On this day, people from all over Pakistan show their love for the country. Schools and colleges arrange events, speeches, and plays to remember the heroes of 1965. The media also shows special programs and documentaries about the sacrifices of our soldiers.
Families of brave heroes who gave their lives are respected and honoured for the bravery of their loved ones.
The Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force also arrange parades, air shows, and exhibitions. These events remind us that our forces are always ready to defend the country. Children, elders, and youth all take part in activities that show unity and love for Pakistan. Defence Day is not just about remembering the past. It also teaches us an important lesson:
to always stay united, love our homeland, and be ready to protect it in every situation. The spirit of 1965 lives in the heart of every Pakistani, and it gives us courage to face any challenge.
Defence Day is a day of pride, sacrifice, and national unity. It tells us that Pakistan is strong, safe, and protected because of the brave soldiers and the love of its people.
