My name is M.Ahmed. I am 8 years old and I study in class three. Today our school went to Clifton Beach for World Clean Up Day. I was very excited because it was my first time cleaning the beach with my teachers and friends.
When we reached the beach, I saw many things on the sand. There were plastic bags, bottles, and food wrappers. The beach looked dirty and I felt sad. Our teacher gave us gloves and big bags. We all started picking up the garbage. It was a little hard, but when we worked together it became fun.
I also went with my sister. She is studying to become a doctor. She helped me and other children in cleaning. I was proud to see her working with us. My teachers were also very happy that we were helping nature.
After some time the beach started to look clean and beautiful. I could hear the waves and see the shining water. It made me feel fresh and happy. Our teacher told us that this day is called World Clean Up Day and it is celebrated all over the world. She said we should always keep our city, school and home clean.
I learned that even small children like me can help the Earth. I promise I will never throw garbage on the road or in the sea. I will also tell my friends to keep our country clean.
It was a special day for me. I will always remember World Clean Up Day at Clifton Beach. 🌊
