Global Dignity Day is celebrated in October each year to promote the message of respect, compassion and kindness.

Students of Beaconhouse School System, Primary Campus Jauhar conducted a Book Donation Drive at school where different donation stations were set up across the school. Students from all class levels (I-VI) donated books with utmost zeal and enthusiasm with the unified motive of creating accessibility to books for the ones deprived of it. Over 250 books were collected in total which were then wrapped and packed into boxes by the students to empower naive minds.

On Tuesday, 2nd November students of Class VI visited Subh-e-Nau School to set up a library using the books collected through the Book Donation Drive held earlier in school.

The avid readers of Primary Campus Jauhar sorted the books and categorized them into different genres to set them up in an organized manner in the shelves. They painted and decorated a wall to give the library a welcoming look and to encourage students to read.

Our students talked about the importance of reading and had an interactive Story Telling Session by Shiza Kashif.

As a token of friendship, students of Class 6 also prepared goody bags for the children at Subh-e-Nau School and spread smiles across faces by extending invitations to visit the Primary Campus Jauhar LLRC to inspire little hearts to dream big.

Let’s try to look beyond what divides us and come forward to celebrate all that unites us. Happy Global Dignity Day!
