A vaccination station was set up at Primary Campus Jauhar on Tuesday, 23rd November in accordance with the Government of Sindh’s initiative to eradicate Measles and Rubella. Oral polio vaccine was also integrated in the campaign to support polio eradication in Pakistan.
Highly trained professionals were deployed by the Health Department to administer the vaccine to children aged between 9 months and 15 years of age.
As per Dr Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Health, this campaign is bound to become one of the biggest campaigns in the world, targeting to vaccinate 90 million children despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
