At Beaconhouse School System, every national event is an excellent platform to bring the students closer to their heritage and identity. Even this year, despite being remote, our celebrations for Pakistan Day have been equally enthusiastic.
Our students and faculty members united to celebrate this significant day with a lot of fervor and reverence. Pakistan Day is the day when the Lahore

Resolution, the turning point of history, which ultimately led to the formation of the nation-state of Pakistan, took place. In light of its significance, various exciting virtual activities were planned for our students to make them realize the importance of Pakistan Day.
An interesting activity conducted was a Kahoot quiz. It was a lively discussion session that involved the active participation of students. The Kahoot quiz comprised questions on Pakistan’s rich history, culture, and national heroes.

Moreover, students gave speeches via the Internet regarding how significant it is to be united, have freedom, and practice patriotism. It is amazing how young learners were so confident about presenting their views, as well as appreciating what has been done for the sake of the nation. One could observe their pride and awareness during the online speech.Furthermore, the role of teachers cannot be underestimated because they had an opportunity to make the celebration more interesting by conducting discussions, sharing knowledge about the past events, and involving children actively into activities.

One can say that the online celebration showed that the educational process is not tied up with physical premises but requires adaptation and enthusiasm from both participants.

On this note, it can be stated that Pakistan Day is all about being aware of the nation’s past and its key values, such as unity, faith, and discipline. It is nice to know that our students participated actively in the online celebration.
