“It is noble to teach oneself, but still nobler to teach others,” said Mark Twain.

Teachers are truly remarkable people. They devote their time teaching the new generation what is right and what is wrong, how to achieve something in life, how to use their talents and skills for good, and how to be good citizens in the community. The management as well as the students of GMBK-1 care a lot about their teachers and Teachers’ Day was a wonderful opportunity to thank teachers for their hard work and commitment.

To begin, the whole school gathered in the school-ground. Students came up on the stage to share their thoughts about teachers. Then the Headmistress, Miss Maliha Noman also voiced her appreciation for the teachers of GMBK-1. Not only that, but special mugs had also been designed for the teachers with their names on them. Each teacher was called on to the stage where their students presented the customized mugs to them and this was followed by a cake-cutting ceremony in which all the teachers participated.

Other than that, a Flip Classroom Activity had been planned for the fourth lesson, in which the teachers put down their board markers and instead the students picked them up. One student from each class stood up and became the teacher for that whole lesson. It was a very enjoyable activity that the students relished.

Teachers deserve to be appreciated not just on this day but every day; for they do the toughest job in the world. GMBK-1 celebrated this day with an ardor to show the teachers their importance not just in the students’ lives but also in the whole community.
