“We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today,” says Stacia Tauscher. Every year on 20th November falls the Universal Children’s Day and in the spirit of this day, Beaconhouse Gulshan Middle 1, organized an event to make it memorable for our students. Along with the Children’s Day celebration, English Elocution Contest was also held which was indeed a great learning opportunity for our young minds.

The event started with the English Elocution Contest where students from all levels came up and presented their poems by different well-known poets such as Maya Angelou and William Shakespeare. A team of English teachers along with a chief guest who has been associated with Beaconhouse for several years judged the contest and distributed prizes amongst the winners. The event undoubtedly turned out as a great opportunity for students to learn from the amazing pieces of Literature written by our legendary poets.

Right after the contest ended, the celebrations of children’s day started. Students had a great time with their friends and teachers, played games, carried on different activities with great zeal and zest.

Children’s day holds a lot of significance in our lives, and to make it memorable for our learners, the management and teachers of GMBK-1 put in a lot of hard work to ensure that the students had a great time.
