Ramadan is a special month of prayers and forgiveness in which everyone tries their best to get closer to the Almighty by performing and taking part in good deeds. One such opportunity was created for our students by the faculty of PSHE at Gulshan Middle 1. They contacted an NGO “Taaluq Foundation” and invited them to the school for a session with students. During the session, they informed about the various aspects and branches of their non-profit organization and how they are benefiting the society. Their branches included orphanages and educational institutes.
This session proved to be a very successful one which not only made the students feel grateful for the privileges they are blessed with but also instilled in them the willingness to help the ones in need. Therefore, in order to raise funds for this organization, a bake sale was arranged by the students on 1st April 2022 where a competition was planned and students were informed that the class raising the maximum amount for charity would be taken to the orphanages and schools of Taaluq Foundation. Students brought various food and drink items along with games to sell to their teachers and friends in order to raise funds for charity. This also helped them in understanding the concepts of business dealings and money management.
Students took part in the bake sale with full zeal and enthusiasm in order to give charity and help the people in need which fulfilled the whole purpose of the event. We hope that these students continue taking part in such social events and play their part in the betterment of the country in whatever way they can.
