Visual art is an art form that creates work which is primarily visual in nature, such as ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, design, crafts, photography, video, film making and architecture. These definitions should not be taken too strictly as many artistic disciplines (performing arts, conceptual art, textile arts) involve aspects of the visual arts as well as arts of other types. Also included within the visual arts are the applied arts such as industrial design, graphic design, fashion design, interior design and decorative art.
Still life drawings are the sketches of non-living objects that are drawn and arranged in such a way that they portray a specific meaning or create a specific effect. At GMBK-1, students of grade VIII also practiced still life drawing in their Visual Art lesson which allowed them to understand the absolute foundations of drawing like perspective, shadowing, depth and color so that they can create something realistic and visually interesting.
