A dwarf planet is a celestial body that -orbits the sun, has enough mass to assume a nearly round shape, has not cleared the neighborhood around its orbit, and is not a moon. Dwarf planets are a lot like regular planets but smaller. Dwarf planets have enough mass to be round and travel around the sun like the other planets. These planets share their path of orbit with asteroids, debris, and even other dwarf planets.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Pluto is not the only Dwarf planet in our solar system, there are many others.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>CERES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The Dwarf planet, <strong><em>Ceres<\/em><\/strong> is the largest object in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, and it&#8217;s the only dwarf planet located in the <em>inner solar system<\/em>. Ceres was named after the <em>roman goddess of corn and harvest.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_144\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-144\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-144\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.beaconhouse.net\/468\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/2022\/11\/A-300x169.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.beaconhouse.net\/468\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/2022\/11\/A-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.beaconhouse.net\/468\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/2022\/11\/A-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/blogs.beaconhouse.net\/468\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/2022\/11\/A.png 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-144\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">CERIS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Ceres was the first member of the <em>asteroid belt<\/em> to be discovered when <em>Giuseppe Piazzi, <\/em>spotted it in <em>1801<\/em>. <em>Ceres<\/em> was called an <em>Asteroid<\/em> for many years but since it was so immense and had a very different shape from Asteroids, scientists made it a <em>Dwarf planet <\/em>in <em>2006. <\/em>The most interesting fact is that scientists believe that there may be <em>water<\/em> in it which means <em>that life might be possible there.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong style=\"font-family: var(--list--font-family);background-color: var(--global--color-background);font-size: var(--global--font-size-base)\">PLUTO<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Pluto <\/strong>was discovered by <em>Clyde Tombaugh<\/em> in <em>1930<\/em> and classified as a planet for over <em>75<\/em> years but was switched to a dwarf planet in <em>2006. <\/em>Originally Pluto was named <em>Planet X<\/em>. <em>In 1930<\/em> <em>Venetia Burn<\/em> suggested that Pluto should be named for the <em>Roman God of the Underworld<\/em> and eventually her suggestion was chosen.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_145\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-145\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-145\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.beaconhouse.net\/468\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/2022\/11\/B-300x169.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.beaconhouse.net\/468\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/2022\/11\/B-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.beaconhouse.net\/468\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/2022\/11\/B-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.beaconhouse.net\/468\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/2022\/11\/B-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/blogs.beaconhouse.net\/468\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/2022\/11\/B-1536x864.png 1536w, https:\/\/blogs.beaconhouse.net\/468\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/2022\/11\/B-1568x882.png 1568w, https:\/\/blogs.beaconhouse.net\/468\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/2022\/11\/B.png 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-145\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">PLUTO<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Pluto is located in the <em>Kuiper Belt<\/em> an area full of Icy bodies and other dwarf planets, way out past Neptune. Pluto is the brightest object in the Kuiper Belt. Pluto is on average <em>3,671,754,387.06<\/em> <em>MILES<\/em> from the sun. It takes about <em>248 YEARS<\/em> to go around the sun. Pluto is very small it is about <em>1,473 MILES WIDE.<\/em> Pluto has about 5 moons. The largest moon is <em>Charon.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>HAUMEA<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Haumea<\/strong> is located in an area called the Kuiper Belt. It was named after the <em>Hawaii goddess of fertility<\/em> and is believed to be made of rock with a coating of ice. It also has rings. Makemake was named after the <em>Rapa Nui<\/em> god of <em>Humanity and Fertility<\/em>. It was named <em>Easter Bunny<\/em> because of its discovery so close to<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000\"><em>Easter<\/em>! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The discovery of Makemake and <em>Eris<\/em> is the reason that Pluto lost its status as a Planet. It is about <em>880 Miles<\/em> wide. Even though Makemake is so small, it still has one moon named <em>MK2<\/em>, which is about <em>100 miles wide.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0E<span style=\"font-family: var(--list--font-family);background-color: var(--global--color-background);color: var(--global--color-primary);font-size: var(--global--font-size-base)\">RIS<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Eris<\/em><\/strong> <span style=\"color: #000000\">is the last planet of all the other <em>Dwarf Planets<\/em>. It was discovered in <em>2005<\/em>. When it was first founded it was named <em>XENA<\/em>, after a popular <em>T.V show<\/em>, but it was officially named after the <em>Greek Goddess of Discord and Strive<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_148\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-148\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-148\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.beaconhouse.net\/468\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/2022\/11\/E-300x169.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.beaconhouse.net\/468\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/2022\/11\/E-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.beaconhouse.net\/468\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/2022\/11\/E.png 612w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-148\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">ERIS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"> In simple words, it means <em>Disagreement<\/em>, which suits it because it was the reason Pluto became a Dwarf Planet.
