Global warming” refers to the rise in global temperatures due mainly to the increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. “Climate change” refers to the increasing changes in the measures of climate over a long period of time. Lots of people get confused about climate change and global warming but, they both are very different, today I will explain what is global warming. So basically Global warming is the long-term heating of Earth’s surface observed since the pre-industrial period (between 1850 and 1900) due to human activities and fossil fuel burning, which increases heat-trapping greenhouse gas levels in Earth’s atmosphere.

How do we know we are causing global warming?

What is global warming how is it caused?

Global warming is the rapid increase in Earth’s average surface temperature over the past century  due to the greenhouse gases released by people burning fossil fuel

How can we stop global warming?

5 ways to stop global warming are:

  • Change a light. Replacing one regular light bulb with a compact fluorescent light bulb will save 150 pounds of carbon dioxide a year!
  • Drive less
  • Recycle more
  • Check your tires
  • Use less hot water
